Step By Step

    Let’s start!

    Identify the room you need the most help with (you can choose multiple rooms!).Once you've decided, book your package and we will send you our design questionnaire and schedule an initial video call to fully understand your needs and preferences. Within the next three weeks of collaboration, we will create the most perfect space for you!

  • 2.

    Designing process

    Once we have all the details, you can focus on your busy life while we take care of everything. We'll design your preferred room layout, choose the ideal colour scheme, create a mood board with pictures, and select products and decorations that will perfectly fit your newly designed room.

  • 3.

    Design package ready for you!

    Following the second video call and your thumbs-up on the final design, you'll receive a shopping list, featuring multiple choices and small decor items, all primed for you to kick-start your project! Additionally, you'll have an extra week to ask the designer any questions related to your design package. Plus, you'll receive our e-guide on effortlessly shopping online.

  • You can communicate with us via email, and we will schedule two 45-minute video call design consultations at times convenient for you: one at the beginning of the process and another upon final approval.

    Any documentation requiring your approval can be conveniently signed using our DocuSign system, ensuring a smooth and efficient process. Additionally, you will have the option to download copies for your records.

  • As soon as you decide which room design you need help with, we can start the design service straight away! Upon booking your preferable package we will send you a design questionnaire and get in touch to book your first video design consultation. From there, we will start working on your design.

    We also offer optional in-home design consultations where our designer will professionally measure and discuss design details in the comfort of your home. You can find more details about these options here.

    Alternatively, we can arrange a site visit specifically for measurements: Site Measurements Only.

  • The design phase typically spans 2-3 weeks per room, starting after we gather all necessary information from you through our design questionnaire, initial video consultation with our designer, and completion of site visit measurements.

    However the design duration may vary based on your responsiveness and any scheduled holidays. Following final design sign-off, you'll also receive an additional week of design consultation to address any further questions.

  • Finding the right design package for your space is simple. Start by considering how your space will be used, then select the room type that best fits your needs. For instance, if you're planning an open-plan extension combining kitchen, living room, and dining areas, then our kitchen/living/dining package is perfect for you.

  • Our E-design service provides everything you need for a complete interior design experience via Zoom calls, offering a convenient way to meet and discuss all your needs. However, we understand that some customers prefer in-person consultations at their homes, and we can certainly accommodate that.

    We offer 2h Home Design Visits, including measurements and photography, for a rate of £350. You can simply add the home visit to your basket along with any room package you need. If you are planning to have multiple rooms designed, it is essential to add an additional design hour per room to your home consultation to cover all your questions and allow extra time for taking measurements. Our hourly rate is £75, and you can add it along with other packages to yr basket:Extra Design Hour

  • Our e-design package covers the general kitchen layout and provides a comprehensive design direction. It's ideal for those who prefer to DIY their kitchen or can take the design to their chosen kitchen supplier, benefiting from our professional interior designer expertise and time saving on decisions. We include the selection of cabinetry styles, worktops, appliance suggestions, tiles, lighting, and other design elements such as complementing wall colours, finishes, hardware, small decorations, and plants.

    You can take the design to a kitchen showroom, where they will provide visuals and a quote for your kitchen and appliances, along with any additional options like alternative layouts. Or, you can discuss the design features with your contractor and shop online to find the best deals!

  • Our e-Design package offers suggestions for bathroom tiling (walls and floor), paint finishes if applicable, bathroom sanitaryware, mirrors, wall finishing such as lighting, and decorative accessories. We work with proposed plans by architects or existing bathroom layouts and suggest improvements that you can discuss with your chosen contractor or plumber. The design, together with the floor plan, is ready for you to take to either a bathroom shop or to purchase products online yourself.

    However, if you would like us to provide you with a full design service including elevation drawings, site visits, and a shopping experience, we are happy to offer a comprehensive interior design service. Please get in touch to discuss your bathroom project at info@karoandco-interiors.com.

  • Your budget should encompass all significant furniture items, decorations, and artwork for your room or space. This may also include any living or artificial plants. If you are considering any substantial changes, such as designing bespoke furniture or custom window dressing, please consult us to see how we can assist you.

    With each design, our designers will present alternative options for key items at various price points, allowing you to choose the right products for your budget.

  • Through our detailed questionnaire and initial consultation, we learn all about your preferences, likes, and dislikes. Throughout the design phase, we seek your honest feedback on the initial design and any potential changes. Our design process is very collaborative, offering you several options for your product selection. Therefore, it’s rare that you won’t be satisfied with the final result.

    Please don't worry; any tweaks can be accommodated in the last week.

  • In our shopping list, we include ready-to-buy products, but our design service can also incorporate bespoke items. For instance, if you would like us to design a bespoke wardrobe, office desk spaces, library, or bookshelves, we can provide you with a complete design ready to present to your fitter or contractor. They will need to take precise measurements to create detailed joinery specifications. Once the joinery plans are prepared, we will review them to ensure they align with our design concept.

  • Measuring your space isn’t as difficult as you might think, especially with our e-guide to help you along the way! During our video call, our designer will provide guidance and point out key aspects to consider when measuring specific areas. Rest assured, if anything seems unclear, we'll promptly address it.

  • In every package, we include space planning for the room to ensure your design needs are covered. However, if you need a professional eye to review your new plan or existing layout and suggest improvements, you can use our e-design consultation service. Please visit our page for more information.     If you would like us to provide you with a space planning service that includes several options for your home layouts, please email us at info@karoandco-interiors.com for a quote.

  • You will receive a design proposal from us with multiple selections for each item, including links to the supplier's website where you can complete the purchase. This will include products such as lamps, beds, coffee tables, art etc.

    We will also provide details of any recommended finishes (e.g., paint name and recommended finish), so you know what to order or can pass the information to your contractor to place the order for you.

    For other products, such as appliances or bathroom fittings, we will include the product name and details so you can send them directly to your kitchen or bathroom supplier for a quotation, or you can simply purchase them yourself online. We will recommend a supplier if you do not have one in mind.

    The links to suppliers are those we have worked with before and found reliable, but you are more than welcome to shop around for the best prices. However, please do your own due diligence when choosing suppliers not recommended by us.

  • There is no deadline for ordering, and you can purchase furniture and decorations at any time. However, we highly suggest buying as soon as you can, as products may sell out or become unavailable if you delay, especially if you have a favorite item in mind. If this happens, please get in touch at info@karoandco-interiors.com for help.

  • We typically offer several shopping options that complement your design concept, providing you with multiple choices. However, occasionally, some items may become unavailable. Please contact us so we can check if the supplier plans to restock soon or if the item is available from another supplier.

    We recommend completing your shopping promptly after finalising the designs to ensure the items are still available and to give you the widest selection to choose from. The longer you delay shopping, the greater the risk of more items going out of stock. If you are not yet ready to shop, we advise waiting to finalise the designs until you are prepared to proceed.

  • Preferably yes! We carefully select each product to match your colour scheme and design concept, ensuring they fit the space well and are proportionate. However, our designs are simply a guide to help you achieve the best results.

    If you find something you truly love, like a different shade of wall paint or a particular decorative object, please feel free to purchase it. Just make sure that if you are changing large key furniture or decoration, such as, a desk, rug, bed, free standing wardrobe, etc., they will fit in the space.

    Once you place the product order, you will usually receive an email from supplier confirming your order follow by courier details for tracking once the team is ready to dispatch.

    If you experience any delays in deliveries or other issues or simply have more questions, you can either contact the supplier's customer service directly or reach out to us for support. We're here to help and ensure your shopping experience is smooth and satisfactory!

  • The delivery depends on supplier stock and the advertised delivery time. We will clearly highlight the lead time and any additional charges in our proposal so you know exactly what to expect.

    Some suppliers can offer specific delivery days, with or without additional charges, allowing you to make informed decisions when placing your order.

  • You can purchase all the products at once or whenever you're ready. We strongly advise buying as soon as possible, as they may go out of stock if you wait too long, especially if you have your heart set on a particular product.

    Some items also have longer lead times, and we will let you know which ones they are, so they can be prioritised if you plan to spread out your shopping over a longer period.

  • Regrettably, we cannot take payments over the phone. However, our payment system is designed to accept the majority of payment cards. Alternatively, we can send you an invoice with a payment link, or you can send us a bank transfer.

  • We do not offer recommendations for Contractor or builder as part of our e- design service.

    Instead, we suggest using platforms like Rated People, Houzz, Check a Trade, or Trust a Trader to find a local contractor/builder for your project.

    We recommend contacting several tradespeople to compare quotes and check their reviews from previous clients.
